Leading.
I lead commercial operations and governance across SQREEM Technologies, working across markets to connect strategy with everyday execution.
My recently formalised responsibilities as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) build on work I have been doing over the past year. Right now, I’m spending considerable time with official papers and decisions on data privacy across the EU, US and Australia, understanding what they mean for product, commercial and operational decisions across jurisdictions.
Building.
I’m continuing to improve DARE, the shared publishing and data platform behind democratising.ai, along with the publications, data services and tools it supports.
A particular focus is taking Urban Dog Owner further: making it more useful for people navigating life with a dog in Singapore, from adoption and everyday care to discovering places together, and helping local businesses connect with customers who will appreciate what they offer.
I’m also refining how I explain EDGE and help people put it into practice. The framework brings structure to business thinking and decisions, with AI-powered tools supporting exploration, preparation and reflection.
Contributing.
My involvement with SDG Open Hack is growing. After mentoring at the Social Impact Catalyst edition on 12 September and Nanyang Polytechnic on 23 September, I was invited to judge the NUS edition on 10 October.
I have now accepted an invitation from Social Impact Catalyst to guide one of its winning teams as they prepare for the Grand Finale on 24 October. Over the coming weeks, I’ll support the team through questions, feedback and short calls, with SIC facilitating. It is an opportunity to build on the September session and stay involved as the team develops its idea further.
I’d like to build on that through further mentoring, guest sessions and practical workshops.
Alongside my Singapore commitments, I continue supporting founders across the region. In September, I joined the kickoff as one of the mentors for the ASEAN Foundation’s ASEAN SOAR Together programme, supporting small businesses across Southeast Asia.
Reading.

Alongside those, I’m neck-deep in official data privacy papers from the EU, US and Australia. Different reading, equally capable of keeping me occupied.
Listening.
Regular listens include The Rest Is Politics, Uncanny Valley and Talk of the Devils, The Athletic’s Manchester United podcast.
I also listen to Entrepreneurship Unplugged in Southeast Asia by Paddy Tan.
I also tend to find time for anything Rory Sutherland publishes or appears on.
